  • Read to a therapy dog!

    / November 2, 2021

📝Therapy dogs are great for reading. Why? The trained therapy dog listens attentively without judgement. The student reads aloud at their own pace, and therefore the student teaches the dog!

🐾Therapy dogs are trained for skills and tested for temperament. They are non-judgmental, calm, attentive, less intimidating than peers and adults and enjoy kids and being petted.

This is a great opportunity to practice your reading skills! Parents/caregivers must be present for the duration of the session. You can call the library at (315)384-3052 to book your session- or send us an email at noflib@ncls.org!
