Read to a therapy dog!
Therapy dogs are great for reading. Why? The trained therapy dog listens attentively without judgement. The student reads aloud at their own pace, and therefore the student teaches the dog!
Therapy dogs are trained for skills and tested for temperament. They are non-judgmental, calm, attentive, less intimidating than peers and adults and enjoy kids and being petted.

This is a great opportunity to practice your reading skills! Parents/caregivers must be present for the duration of the session. You can call the library at (315)384-3052 to book your session- or send us an email at noflib@ncls.org!
