Reading Dragons & Friends!

What is it?

Reading Dragons & Friends is a fun and engaging reading challenge for kids ages 6-18. When you read, you earn limited edition collectible cards. The more you read, the more cards you can collect. Then use your cards to Battle with others in a fun Rock/Paper/Scissors style game.

Who made this?

Reading Dragons & Friends is a creation of Dover Public Library in Dover, Ohio. Kids in libraries all across the country and around the world are playing this game at their local library. All the material is free to use by any library interested in participating in the Reading Dragons & Friends program.

How to play?

Beginning September 1st, kids can stop in to Norfolk Library and ask for a Dragon Tracker and a Starter Set of cards. Then between September and December, you can read and earn new cards. Each creature has 4 evolutions: Egg, Kid, Teen, and Adult. You can collect up to 4 evolutions every month! New creatures will be added often and older ones will be retired so keep an eye on the checklist to see what you can choose.
